(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 728 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update, which is 4-percent of the 18,100 tests announced. There are 9,709 active cases in the state, a decrease of 157 from Monday. Active cases make up 17.3-percent of the 56-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 45-thousand recoveries.
There were 12 deaths reported by state health officials, for a total 961. Deaths accounted for 1.7-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 154-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 692-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 728 cases, an increase of 23 from Monday. The county had 327 negative tests returned for a running total of 15,730. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 130 cases while 356 have recovered.
Washington County has 22 deaths and 913 cases, a one-day increase of 33.
Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 571 positive tests to date.
Jefferson County now has six deaths along with 573 cases.
There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 228 positive cases.
Green Lake County now has 53 cases
