State, Local COVID-19 Numbers Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 840 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update. There are 8,430 active cases in the state, an increase of 28 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 1.5-percent of the 562-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 547-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 52 deaths bringing that total to 6,394. Deaths account for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 506-thousand people have died in the United States.

Dodge County has experienced 155 deaths and 11,389 cases, a one-day increase of 15 positive tests. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 125 people, two more than on Wednesday.

Washington County has seen 133 deaths along with 13,709 cases to date; 590 are active cases.

Fond du Lac County has reported 93 deaths with 11,939 positive tests on record; 157 are active cases.

The state says Jefferson County has recorded 111 deaths and 7,854 cases to date.

Columbia County has reported 51 deaths and 5,007 positive tests.

Green Lake County has 18 deaths with 1,524 cases on record; 11 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
