(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 900 positive cases of coronavirus in Thursday’s daily update, which is 6.3-percent of the 13,300 tests announced. There are 8,236 active cases in the state, up 264 from Wednesday. Active cases make up nearly 21-percent of the 39-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 30-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded four more deaths yesterday, bringing that number to 831. Deaths accounted for 2.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 10-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 541 cases, an increase of four from Wednesday. The county had 319 negative tests returned for a running total of 12,769. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 51 people while 251 have recovered.
Washington County has 19 deaths on record along with 519 positive cases. Fond du Lac County has six deaths to date and 410 positive tests. Jefferson County has four deaths and 393 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 131 positive cases. Green Lake County now has 44 cases.
