(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,988 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update. There are 27,516 active cases in the state, an increase of 742 from Thursday. Active cases make up 19-percent of the 144-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 115-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 16 deaths, for a total of 1,440. Deaths accounted for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5.7-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 212-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has 19 deaths on record and 2,428 cases, an increase of 59 from Thursday. The county had 134 negative tests returned for a running total of 24,791. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 624 people while 1,356 have recovered.
Washington County has experienced 37 deaths along with 3,155 cases.
Fond du Lac County has 2,747 positive tests on record along with 15 deaths.
Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,803 cases to date.
There have been three deaths in Columbia County where there have been 1,019 cases.
Green Lake County has recorded its first death and has 419 cases.
