(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 4,378 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update. There are 39,163 active cases in the state, an increase of 311 from Thursday. Active cases make up 20.6-percent of the 190-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 149-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 42 deaths, bringing that total to 1,745. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5.3-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 223-thousand were from the United States.
Dodge County has 24 deaths on record and 3,473 cases, an increase of 94 from Thursday. The county had 200 negative tests returned for a running total of 27,641. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,025 people while 1,903 have recovered.
Washington County has experienced 43 deaths and 4,076 cases, there are currently 899 active cases.
Fond du Lac County has 3,953 positive tests on record, with 1,395 being active cases, and 19 deaths.
Jefferson County has reported 10 deaths and 2,446 cases to date, 548 are active cases.
There have been five deaths in Columbia County where there have been 1,610 total cases, currently the county has 555 active cases.
Green Lake County has two deaths and has 675 cases on record, 256 were reported in the last two weeks.
