(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 821 positive coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s daily update. There are 12,790 active cases in the state, a decrease of 664 from Tuesday. Active cases make up 2.3-percent of the 551-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 532-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 35 deaths bringing that total to 6,129. Deaths account for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 466-thousand people have died in the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 154 deaths and 11,279 cases, a one-day increase of 18 positive tests. The county had 107 negative tests returned for a running total of 39,154. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 137 people, seven more than on Tuesday.
Washington County reported two deaths for a total of 128, along with 13,507 cases to date; 332 are active cases.
Fond du Lac County has 88 deaths with 11,738 positive tests on record; 294 are active cases.
The state says Jefferson County has 74 deaths and 7,713 cases to date; with 111 active cases.
Columbia County has reported 46 deaths and 4,921 positive tests; there are 99 active cases.
Green Lake County has 18 deaths, one more than on Tuesday, with 1,511 cases on record; 26 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
