(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,301 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update. There are 21,515 active cases in the state, a decrease of 526 from Monday. Active cases make up 4-percent of the 535-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 507-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 54 deaths bringing that total to 5,753. Deaths account for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 419-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 142 deaths, four more than Monday, and 11,071 cases; a one-day increase of 19 positive tests. The county had 42 negative tests returned for a running total of 38,275. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 290 people, four fewer than on Monday.
Washington County has seen 119 deaths along with 13,125 cases to date.
Fond du Lac County reported four deaths Tuesday for a total of 80 with 11,439 positive tests on record; 379 are active cases.
The state says Jefferson County has seen 68 deaths, an increase of two, and 7,462 cases to date; with 96 active cases.
Columbia County has seen 39 deaths and 4,757 positive tests; there are 185 active cases.
Green Lake County has 14 deaths with 1,480 cases on record, 53 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
