(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 5,922 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update. There are 54,326 active cases in the state, an increase of 1,846 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 21.7-percent of the 249-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 193-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 38 deaths, bringing that total 2,194. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.9-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 235-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County now has 37 deaths and 5,325 cases, an increase of 194 from Thursday. The county had 182 negative tests returned for a running total of 29,635. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,404 people while 2,832 have recovered.
Washington County has now experienced 50 deaths and 5,456 cases, there are currently 1,600 active cases.
Fond du Lac County has 5,708 positive tests on record, with 1,607 being active cases, and 25 deaths.
Jefferson County has reported 21 deaths and 3,334 cases to date, 744 are active cases.
There have been seven deaths in Columbia County where there have been 2,081 total cases, currently the county has 632 active cases.
Green Lake County has four deaths and has 866 cases on record, 213 were reported in the last two weeks.
