(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,046 positive coronavirus cases in Saturday’s daily update. There are 29,382 active cases in the state, a decrease of 306 from Friday. Active cases make up 5.8-percent of the 505-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 470-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 36 deaths bringing that total to 5,155. Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the nearly two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 267-thousand people who have died in the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 126 deaths and 10,676, a one-day increase of 39 positive tests. The county had 70 negative tests returned for a running total of 37,277. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 305 people.
Washington County has reported 103 deaths, one more than on Friday, along with 12,368 cases to date.
Fond du Lac County has seen 71 deaths with 10,913 positive tests on record.
The state says Jefferson County recorded 60 deaths and 7,000 cases to date.
Columbia County has reported 33 deaths and 4,445 positive tests; there are 208 active cases.
Green Lake County had one additional death bringing their total to 14 with 1,423 cases on record.
