(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 634 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update, which is 6.3-percent of the 9,900 tests announced. There are 8,378 active cases in the state, a decrease of 159 from Monday. Active cases make up 12.5-percent of the nearly 67-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 57-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 13 more deaths Tuesday, for a total of 1,052. Deaths accounted for 1.6-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.1-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 169-thousand deaths while the world wide death toll is widely reported to be around 773-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 955 cases, an increase of 13 from Monday. The county had 51 negative tests returned for a running total of 17,563. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 168 people while 541 have recovered.
Washington County has now experienced 24 deaths along with 1,289 cases. Fond du Lac County has eight deaths and 809 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has reported its six death along with 737 cases. There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 292 cases. Green Lake County now has 64 cases.
