State, Local Coronavirus Numbers From Thursday

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 943 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update, which is 7.6-percent of the 11,000 tests announced. There are 8,931 active cases in the state, an increase of 47 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 14.1-percent of the 63-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 53-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded seven more deaths, for a total of 1,018. Deaths accounted for 1.6-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.2-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 165-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 749-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 875 cases, an increase of 18 from Wednesday. The county had 136 negative tests returned for a running total of 17,034. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 174 people while 455 have recovered.

Washington County has 22 deaths and 1,147 cases, a one-day increase of 32 cases. Fond du Lac County has eight deaths and 712 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has five deaths along with 677 cases, up 20. There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 274 cases. Green Lake County now has 60 cases.
