(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 957 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update, which is 9.6-percent of the nearly 10,000 tests announced. There are 9,946 active cases in the state, up 272 from Saturday. Active cases make up 20-percent of the 48-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been nearly 38-thousand recoveries.
There was one death reported by state health officials Sunday, for a total of 892. Deaths accounted for just under two-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 9-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been nearly 146-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 645-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 617 cases, an increase of eight from Saturday. The county had 148 negative tests returned for a running total of 14,346.
Washington County has 19 deaths on record along with 700 positive tests, a one-day increase of 25 cases. Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 493 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has four deaths and 511 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 195 positive cases. Green Lake County has 49 cases.
