(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 685 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update, which is 11.2-percent of the 5400 tests announced. There are 8702 active cases in the state, a decrease of 126 from Saturday. Active cases make up 13.2-percent of the 65-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 56-thousand recoveries.
State health officials reported one more death, bringing that total to 1,039. Deaths account for 1.6-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.1-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 168-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 772-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 930 cases, an increase of ten from Saturday. The county had 144 negative tests returned for a running total of 17,425.
Washington County has experienced 23 deaths along with 1259 cases, an increase of 52 cases from Saturday. Washington County has had 454 new cases announced this month.
Fond du Lac County has eight deaths on record and 763 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has five deaths along with 718 cases. There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 288 cases. Green Lake County has 62 cases.
