(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 621 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update, which is 8.4-percent of the 7,400 tests announced. There are 9,510 active cases in the state, a decrease of 126 from Saturday. Active cases make up 15.7-percent of the 60-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 50-thousand recoveries.
There were two deaths reported by state health officials, for a total of 998. Deaths accounted for 1.6-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.3-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 161-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 728-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 819 cases, an increase of 11 from Saturday. The county had 151 negative tests returned for a running total of 16,613.
Washington County has 22 deaths and 1,066 cases, a one-day increase of 27. Fond du Lac County has seven deaths and 657 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has five deaths along with 631 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 248 positive cases. Green Lake County now has 56 cases.
