State, Local Coronavirus Numbers From Saturday

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 1062 positive coronavirus cases in Saturday’s daily update, which is 7.1-percent of the 13,700 tests announced. There are 9,753 active cases in the state, an increase of 82 from Friday. Active cases make up 18.1-percent of the 54-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 43-thousand recoveries.

There were 13 deaths reported by state health officials, for a total 947. Deaths account for 1.8-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.7-perecent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been nearly 153-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 679-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 675 cases, an increase of 20 from Friday. The county had 152 negative tests returned for a running total of 15,079. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 78 people while 328 have recovered.

Washington County has 22 deaths and 860 cases, a one-day increase of 55. Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 545 positive tests to date. Jefferson County five deaths along with and 550 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 219 positive cases. Green Lake County has 52 cases.
