(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 590 positive coronavirus cases in Monday’s daily update, which is 8.5-percent of the nearly 7,000 tests announced. There are 9,873 active cases in the state, down 73 from Sunday. Active cases make up 20-percent of the 49-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 38-thousand recoveries.
There was one death reported by state health officials Monday, for a total of 893. Deaths accounted for 1.8-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.9-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been just under 146-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 650-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 622 cases, an increase of five from Sunday. The county had 63 negative tests returned for a running total of 14,409. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 63 people while 317 have recovered.
Washington County has 19 deaths on record along with 703 positive tests. Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 499 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has four deaths and 516 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 196 positive cases. Green Lake County has 49 cases.
