State, Local Coronavirus Numbers From Monday

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 455 positive coronavirus cases in Monday’s daily update, which is 7.6-percent of the 5,900 tests announced. There are 8,537 active cases in the state, a decrease of 165 from Sunday. Active cases make up 12.9-percent of the 66-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 56-thousand recoveries.

State health officials reported no deaths Monday and that number remains unchanged at 1,039. Deaths accounted for 1.6-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 169-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 776-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths and 942 cases, an increase of 12 from Sunday. The county had 87 negative tests returned for a running total of 17,512. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 180 people while 516 have recovered.

Washington County has experienced 23 deaths along with 1,259 cases. Fond du Lac County has eight deaths and 791 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has five deaths along with 732 cases. There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 291 cases. Green Lake County now has 63 cases.
