(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting an increase of 598 cases of COVID-19 in Wednesday’s daily update. Five-point-six-percent (5.6%) of the 10,000 tests administered came back positive Wednesday, compared to 3.9-percent Tuesday. There are 6,037 active cases in the state, which is 18-percent of the 33,154 people who have tested positive. So far, there have been 26,305 recoveries.
State health officials recorded two more deaths bringing that number to 807. Deaths accounted for two-point-four-percent (2.4%) of all cases in Wisconsin while over 11-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Washington County recorded its 17 death yesterday along with eight new cases, for 451 total to date.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 488 cases, an increase of one from Tuesday. The county had 90 negative tests returned for a running total of 11,361.
Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 347 positive tests. Jefferson County has four deaths and 303 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 105 positive cases. Green Lake County now has 41 cases.
