State Assembly To Honor Memory Of A Dodge County Legislator

(Beaver Dam) The Wisconsin Assembly will honor the memory of a Dodge County legislator Wednesday. Representative Mark Born will take up Assembly Resolution 22, authored by the Beaver Dam Republican, honoring the life and public service of former Wisconsin State Representative Bob Goetsch. Born says he is grateful to be recognizing Goetsch’s legacy in the Assembly. He adds that Goetsch had a heart for public service, serving his country and his community in a number of roles throughout his life. Goetsch served in Madison from 1982 through 2001, working on multiple committees – including Ways and Means, Urban and Local Affairs, Children and Families, and was chairperson of the Criminal Justice Committee. In addition to the legislature, Goetsch was also a Dodge County Board supervisor from 1972 to 1984 and was chair of the Town of Oak Grove Board from 1971 to 1983. Born says we lost a truly exceptional person earlier this year and that Goetsch was a role model for him and countless others. He says this resolution is a small way they can show appreciation for his contributions to their community. Members of Goetsch’s family will be in attendance during the Assembly’s floor session tomorrow.
