(Waupun) An SSM Health Pharmacy clerk in Waupun was a recent recipient of the BEE Award. The BEE Award, which stands for Be Exceptional Everyday, recognizes non-nursing staff members who demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills, collaboration, professionalism , exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence. Gloria Rens was nominated after helping a patient called on a Saturday who was out of medication and was checking on an anticipated home delivery. After consulting with the pharmacist and technician, the patient’s medication order was confirmed. The nomination noted that Rens knew the patient had no way of getting to the pharmacy to get her meds so she offered to help. Rens got them ran through the register and took her personal vehicle to get them to her. The nomination shared that the patient was very appreciative that she did that knowing the pharmacy does not deliver on Saturday’s and that she is not a delivery person. It continued, saying that Rens showed excellent customer service and compassion.
