Shirley Lipps, 71, of Beaver Dam passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Sylvan’s Crossings in Beaver Dam.
Shirley was born the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Hadley) Buresh on January 30, 1948 in Sheridan, Wyoming. She was married to Lawrence E. Lipps on May 20, 1972 in Fairfield, Montana. Shirley was employed with Mischler’s Harley-Davidson in Beaver Dam for 35 years. Shirley enjoyed the outdoors both camping and fishing especially in Montana. She loved reading, gardening, and taking trips to the casino.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Larry of Beaver Dam; her two children: Michelle Martinez of Oak Park, IL and James (Janet) Lipps of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren: Joseph and Jordan Martinez and Brandon, Autumn and Ayden Lipps; her siblings: Sharon (James) Jacobson and Stanley (Cindy) Buresh both of Fairfield, Montana; her brother-in-law, Willard (Ling) St. Germaine of Wayne, IL; sisters-in-law: Mary (Lynn) Blankenship of Portland, OR, Martha Miller of Beaver Dam, and Christine (Neil) Woodruff of Pennsylvania; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Buresh; her sister, Jolee Heiberg; brother-in-law, Edwin Miller; and two siblings in infancy.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, July 22, 2019.
