Shirley A. Ziehme, age 83, of Packwaukee, formerly of Pumpkin Center, died Thursday, August 8, 2019.
Visitation for Shirley will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. There will also be a visitation at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Reeseville on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 10:00 am to 10:50 am. Funeral services will follow at church on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 am with Pastor Don Steinberg officiating. There will be a memorial service at Trinity Lutheran Church, W5940 Chestnut Street in Packwaukee, on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at Richford Cemetery.
The former Shirley Ann France was born on July 6, 1936 in Wautoma, Wisconsin to the late Allen and Viola (Meyers) France. She graduated from Waterloo High School in 1954. Shirley was married to Robert Rennhack on November 27, 1954 and they had four children. On December 9, 1989, she fell in love with and married the love of her life, Bill Ziehme. Bill and Shirley owned and operated Ziehme’s Bar in Pumpkin Center for 15 years before moving to Packwaukee in November of 2001. Shirley worked at Brandts in Watertown for over 30 years. She was an active member of TOPS and achieved KOPS. Shirley enjoyed fishing with her husband, crocheting, canning, and reading. There was never a time Shirley was without a dog. She also enjoyed watching her birds. Shirley was a member of the Dodge County Tavern League and was a Sunshine Girl. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Reeseville and was currently a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee. She served on the Ladies Aid at Trinity and was a Past President.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Ziehme; three children, Carole “Tunie” (Darvin) Seibert, Serene (Chris) Seufzer, and Darrell Rennhack; a daughter-in-law, Bonny Rennhack; five step-sons, Jeff, Steve, William (Debbie), Jerry (Sandy), and Michael (Jenny); 16 grandchildren, Matthew, Anthony, Jacob, Kayla, Joseph, Jennifer, Janelle, Jordan, Jaxon, Nicholas, Brandon, Andrea, Derek, Vanessa, Dylan, and Haylee; 23 great grandchildren, Caleb, Brody, Madelyn, MaKenzie, Riley Jo, Emma, Zoey, Kolbie, Tye, Adrianne, Colten, Ayden, Hunter, Brianna, Zoey, Paris, London, Kingston, Milan, Ireland, Emrie, Delaney, and Gavin; three brothers, Richard (Helen), Kenneth (Donna), and Douglas (Sue); other cherished family and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dale “Putz” Rennhack; two grandchildren, Heather and Joe Seibert; an infant brother, Allen France; and her beloved Rossie & Abbie.
