(Horicon) Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents about a unsubstantiated report of multiple cougars sighted near Horicon, calling the sighting “Unlikely.” According to an alert from the official Dodge County Sheriff’s Office App, authorities received a media inquiry about the cougars reported sighted in Dodge County. The alert continues to say that there have been no reports of any sightings at all. Further Investigation shows that a photo released to Dodge County Residents matches one used in a news story from December of 2018 out of the Salt Lake City, Utah are. As such, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office have determined the cougar sighting report to be false, reassuring residents that they will alert the public if cougars or any other similar wildlife pose a danger in the area.
