Sheriff Reminds Motorists About Sharing Road With Farm Implements

(Dodge County) Spring means planting season in Wisconsin and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents that it also means more farm vehicles and equipment on the road.  The increase of slow moving vehicles means drivers will need to exercise extra caution when traversing the states roadways, and officials say passing these slower moving farm vehicles needs to be done safely.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says much like passing any vehicle, motorists should only pass in designated passing zones, and be aware of oncoming traffic when doing so.  He advises drivers to be more alert during the early morning hours and at dusk as farmers may be entering or exiting fields more frequently during those times.
