Shadow and Shirley

Shadow has lived his first 4 years of life chained in a Texas backyard, along side of his chained brother. The two had to fight for food and treats. Because they were fighting, Shadow’s owner decided to “get rid of one” of the dogs….and chose Shadow. But this was probably the luckiest day of Shadow’s life. He was taken to a local Texas shelter and staff fell in love with him. They realized he was a sweet, gentle boy who deserved better in life. The put him in a foster home for the opportunity to experience the love he had never known. Lola’s Lucky Day found this boy and brought him to Wisconsin for his second chance. Shadow is a large, handsome 75 lb Labrador mix dog. The foster home said Shadow has not shown aggression to other dogs, but just seems leary of them and does not show any interest in playing with them. His foster family thinks….Shadow just does not know how to play. Lola’s said they are not sure, but think he may do best as an only dog. Can you give a deserving boy his forever home and show him what being a cherished family member is? If so, come visit Shadow this week.

Shirley is a lovely 6 year old lady looking for her forever home. She made the trip up from Texas with Lola’s Lucky Day rescue last weekend, and now has a second chance for a forever family. Shirley is a 6 year old female Labrador, medium sized at about 51 lbs. She is a sweet, beautiful girl who does well with other dogs. Come meet Shirley this week and add a wonderful new family member to your home.
