5/21//17 – The Committee of the Whole in Fox Lake discussed several outdoor related projects at their meeting this week. Among them, the construction of a sledding hill located behind the municipality building. City officials are considering tearing down the current fencing around the baseball diamond and they would decide after next winter if more work should be put into the sledding such as making it higher. The other project involves transforming the little league diamond, located near the north end of Booth Street, into a dog park. The committee discussed putting the park below the dam on Mill Road. Using the little league diamond would save around $8,000 dollars on fencing. The council will vote on the projects at their June 7 meeting.
