Dodge County Snowmobile Trails Are Open But Will Shutdown Throughout Weekend

(Dodge County) While several snowmobile trails are currently open, most will be shutdown throughout the weekend. Dodge County Parks Supervisor Jason Roy says Zone 5 will close at 6am Saturday and Zones 1, 2 and 4 will be losing at 6am tomorrow (Sunday) morning. He says Zone 3 is still closed to snowmobile traffic. If trail conditions deteriorate prior to the scheduled closing dates and times, operators are asked to refrain from using the trails to protect the land and land owners. Roy says operators are reminded to stay on the marked trails and drive between the trail markers. The Wild Goose State Trail is also open for ATV/UTV traffic but will also be closing at 6am tomorrow (Sunday). No ATV/UTV vehicles are allowed on the trail on Fond du Lac County, the boundary is anything north of State Highway 49 near Waupun. Roy urges operators to use caution as the Wild Goose is a multi-use trail.
