Several Dodge County Groups Receive Grants To Promote COVID Vaccines

(Dodge County) Several organizations that serve the Dodge County area are receiving grant funds from the state to promote COVID vaccine equity and awareness. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services recently announced $3.4-million-dollars in grants have been awarded to 43 organizations.

United Way of Dodge County is receiving $25-thousand-dollars to create unique and relevant spaces for conversations that aim to build trust and dispel myths about COVID vaccinations. The money will also help reach marginalized and underserved communities throughout the county.

Family Health La Clinica which serves a number of counties including Dodge, Columbia, and Green Lake is in line for $100-thousand. They will be using the money to enhance community outreach through media campaigns to generate confidence in the vaccines. Officials say they will also provide educational opportunities both in-person and online.

Opportunities, Inc. will use their $100-thousand-dollars to promote vaccination awareness and access including boosters to essential workers and families. The group serves south-central Wisconsin including Dodge and Jefferson Counties.
