Several Dodge County Cities Receiving Transportation Aid From The State

(Dodge County) A number of cities in Dodge County received transportation aid from the state. The governor and the department of transportation announced Tuesday that municipalities across Wisconsin received more than $134-million-dollars.

Beaver Dam is in line for $238-thousand-dollars; Fox Lake is getting nearly $51-thousand; Horicon is receiving just over $81-thousand-dollars; $45-thousand is going to the city of Juneau; $82-thousand to the city of Mayville; and Waupun is getting $118-thousand.

Beaver Dam is also receiving over $11-thousand-dollars in Connecting Highway Aid which assist communities with costs associated with increased traffic and maintenance on roads that connect segments of the state highway system.

In 2023, local governments will receive more than $526-million-dollars in funding to support transportation-related projects, a two-percent increase over last year.
