Several Animals Killed In Town Of Addison Shed Fire

(Addison) Several animals were killed in a shed fire in the Town of Addison Wednesday morning. Washington County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the property at 7012 Nenno Road just after 8:30am. The caller reported that there horses inside but no people.

Upon arrival, crews found a fully engulfed structure. The heat made it impossible to get near the shed. The owner was able to free a couple of animals but a horse, approximately four to five cats, four ducks, and four chickens were lost in the fire.

The blaze was eventually extinguished by 10am. The building, which had a value of roughly $80-thousand-dollars, was a total lost. There were no injuries to the owners or to fire department personnel.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
