Chili Dogs
2 small finely chopped onions, divided
1 (15 oz.) can tomato puree
1 lb. ground beef
½ c. ketchup
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. finely chopped green pepper
1 Tbsp. white vinegar
2 tsp. ground mustard
1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1 tsp. onion salt
½ tsp. garlic powder
4 c. water
8 hot dogs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. hot dog buns, split
Yellow mustard
In large saucepan, cook and crumble beef over MEDIUM heat until no longer pink, 8-10 minutes; drain. Add one chopped onion and next 10 ingredients; simmer 1 hour, stirring frequently. Cook hot dogs per package directions. Place in buns and top with chili, remaining chopped onion and yellow mustard. Makes 8 servings.
