(Horicon) A semi-truck tipped over in downtown Horicon Tuesday morning. Police Chief Joe Adamson says the spill occurred around 9am when the semi, owned by Kreilkamp Trucking, flipped while turning from Lake to Vine Street. Adamson says the trailer was carrying manufacturing materials to John Deere when the load shifted as the driver turned the corner and “gravity took over.” The driver walked away with only a few scratches though as a matter of routine for CDL license holders was taken to a hospital for a drug test. Adamson says they had hoped to have the scene cleared by noon but it took until around 2pm because all of the materials in the trailer had to be removed first. A city-owned light pole with signage was taken out and Ginger’s Hideaway tavern sustained minor damage from the pole.
