Semi Crash At Highway 151, County G Interchange

5/22/17 – A medical condition may have been a contributing factor in a crash involving a semi-truck in the Town of Beaver Dam Monday afternoon. The accident happened at 12:19pm on the interchange ramps at Highway 151 and County Highway G. Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say the semi exited at the Highway 151 off-ramp, failed to stop at the stop sign at the top of the ramp, crossed over County G, and crashed alongside the Highway 151 on-ramp. No other vehicles were involved. The driver of the semi – 62-year-old Chanakira Goodwill of Durham, North Carolina – was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries and-or a possible medical condition. The trailer of the semi – which is owned by Berg Grain and Produce of Fargo, North Dakota – was loaded with Coors beer; none was spilled. However, the DNR responded to the scene because a small amount of diesel fuel may have leaked from the truck fuel tanks. The on-ramp was closed for several hours while the truck was removed. The crash remains under investigation.
