Just a couple of weeks after stepping down at Columbus High School, Andy Selgrad has been hired as the head football coach at Ripon. In three seasons at Columbus, Selgrad’s team’s went 35-4. He won the 2022 WIAA Division Four State Championship and was named state coach of the year by multiple organizations.
Selgrad takes over a Ripon program that is looking to find its footing after going 0-9 last season. Despite recent struggles, Ripon does have a rich history in football that included WIAA Division Four State championships in 2003 and 2005.
Selgrad replaces Mark Bradley, who was interim coach after Todd Schoelzel resigned after practice had already started last fall.
