10/8/11 – The majority leader of the Wisconsin Senate says he would let law-abiding citizens carry concealed weapons in the State Capitol. And if they’re banned, Republican Scott Fitzgerald of Juneau says the entrances should have metal detectors to make sure guns stay out. Fitzgerald says metal detectors would not be needed if hidden weapons were allowed. Fitzgerald made his comments a day after state Attorney General J-B Van Hollen said he would favor allowing concealed weapons in the Capitol, once the new law for hidden heat takes effect November first. Governor Scott Walker’s administration department will have the final say. A spokeswoman says a decision will be announced before the law takes effect.
