(Beaver Dam) The pickup of non-perishable items in the US Postal Service Stamp Out Food Drive is Saturday. Residents around the country and in Beaver Dam should have seen a bag in their mailbox in the past week.
Postal officials are hoping that residents will fill the bag and leave it on their doorstep by 9am Saturday for pickup by volunteers. Those volunteers are typically retired postal workers so there will be no impact on mail delivery.
The food collected locally will go to the Dodge County Food Pantry at St Vincent de Paul, the Gathering Source, PAVE, Food For Free at Habitat for Humanity, the Living Hope Food Pantry, and the Beaver Dam Community Food Pantry.
