(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 4.059 positive coronavirus cases in Saturday’s daily update. There are 48,267 active cases in the state, a decrease of 1,997 from Friday. Active cases make up 11.1-percent of the 434-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 381-thousand recoveries.
The state reported 50 deaths bringing that total to 3,991. Deaths account for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 294-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 87 deaths and 9,636 cases to date, a one-day increase of 133 cases. The county had 112 negative tests returned for a running total of 35,160.
Washington County has seen 86 deaths along with 10,227 cases to date. Fond du Lac County is reporting 59 with 9,553 positive tests on record. The state says Jefferson County has seen 45 deaths and 5,956 cases to date. Columbia County has experienced 19 deaths and 3,842 positive tests. Green Lake County is reporting a ninth death and has 1,275 cases on record.
