(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 5,033 positive coronavirus cases in Saturday’s daily update. There are 70,753 active cases in the state, a decrease of 224 from Friday. Active cases make up 18.6-percent of the 380-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 306-thousand recoveries.
The state reported 28 deaths bringing that total to 3,285. Deaths account for point-nine-percent (.09) of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says around 264-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 71 deaths, and 8,270 cases to date. The county had 41 negative tests returned, for a running total of 33,164.
Washington County reported one death yesterday, with their toll climbing to 70, along with 8,710 cases. Fond du Lac County has reported 50 deaths and has 8,199 positive tests on record. The state reports that Jefferson County has a seen two more deaths, for a total of 39, and 5,260 cases to date. There were two deaths reported in Columbia County where there have been 12 deaths and 3,415 positive tests. Green Lake County has six deaths and 1,173 cases on record.
