Robert “Bob” Rindfliesch

Robert “Bob” Rindfliesch, age 75 of Fox Lake, suddenly passed away from a stroke on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

Bob was born on September 10, 1943 in Madison, the son of Harvey Rindfliesch, Harriet and Stan Midthun. He graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1961. Bob worked at the bowling alley in his teen years. Bob bowled many nights a week in men’s leagues while attending high school. Bob was offered the opportunity to become a member of the Professional Bowling Association and go on tour while in high school, but his mother denied permission for him to join. After high school, Bob continued to bowl around five nights a week for many years in Madison and surrounding communities. Bob bowled several 300 games, along with 800 series. Bob met his wife, Janis in high school as they were high school sweethearts. Bob and Janis were married June, 1963. Bob then worked for a couple different drywall companies in the Madison area for several years. In the mid 1970s, Bob and Janis, along with their son, Don moved to Waushara County, the Wautoma-Coloma area. Bob started his own drywall business in that area for nearly 25 years before retiring. Bob continued to bowl in a couple leagues for many years in Wautoma. In 2001, Bob and Janis moved to the Beaver Dam-Fox Lake area to be closer to their son, Don. In 2012, Bob moved in with his son, Don due to the passing of his wife, Janis in June, 2012. Bob enjoyed watching sports, movies, and the news.

He is survived by one child, Don Rindfliesch; brothers, Gary (Doris) Rindfliesch and Stan (Lorie) Midthun; sister-in-law, Dona Muske; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Janis.

Bob provided the gift of sight to the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin upon his death. His wishes were to be cremated, along with no memorial service.
