(Beaver Dam) Fire displaced residents of a home in Beaver Dam Tuesday morning. The Beaver Dam Fire Department responded to 508 Stone Street around 8:42am.
Upon arrival, crews found light smoke venting from the roof of the single-family residence. Fire Chief Michael Wesle says its occupants had already evacuated.
He says firefighters quickly deployed a hose line to the front door and made entry. They encountered moderate smoke conditions on the second floor. Wesle says crews located and extinguished flames in a second-floor bedroom.
He says the blaze had spread into the attic and firefighters had to cut several holes in the roof to put out the fire. The cause of the blaze is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
