(Dodge County) The registration deadline for the Dodge County Soil Health Expo in Juneau is approaching. Tony Peirick, the President of Dodge County for Healthy Soils Healthy Waters, and Will Fulwider, a regional crops educator with UW Extension Education recently joined Community Comment to talk about the event.
The 8th annual edition of the expo features a long lineup of speakers that are experienced in the industry. Peirick believes this is great value for any farmer. “For fifty dollars, we have a full day.” He stated. “We’ve got some really good speakers, a lot of information out. A lot of social, talking back-and-forth of farmers. It’s been a really well attended event for the last seven years, and we’re very proud of what we’re doing here in Dodge County. And what we’ve got going here, and for education, and educating the farmers.”
The event is located at the Juneau Community Center at 500 Lincoln Drive. It runs from 8:30am to 2:45pm.
Some groups featured in this event will be graduate students, crop consultants, research agronomists and more. Those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. To register, click HERE or call the Dodge County Land and Water Conservation Department at (920)-386-3660.
