(Dodge County) Vehicle sales in Dodge County are lagging when compared to last year. According to the Waterloo-based industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, there have been 2,240 cars and light trucks sold in Dodge County through the first eight months of year, 166 less than last year by this time, a drop of just under seven-percent. Car sales were down 37-percent while truck sales were down one-percent. Jefferson County vehicle sales dropped 21-percent with 1,503 vehicles sold, compared to 1,905 through August of last year. Car sales in Jefferson County were down 44-percent while truck sales saw a decline of 15-percent. Columbia County saw 1,571 vehicles roll off dealer lots compared to 1,760 during the same timeframe in 2019, a decrease of 10-percent. For the nine-county, south central Wisconsin region as a whole, vehicle sales were down 16-percent with 26,200 sales, 5,300 less than last year. Car sales were down in the region by 34-percent, truck sales were also down by 12-percent.
