Regional Vehicle Sales Down When Compared To 2021

(Dodge County) Vehicle sales in Dodge County are lagging behind last year’s numbers.

According to the Waterloo-based, industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, there were 2,206 vehicles sold in Dodge County through September, 651 less than by the same time one year ago, a decrease of 22.7-percent. Truck sales were down over 21-percent while car sales were down 35-percent.

Columbia County had 1,589 vehicles sold in the first nine-months of this year, which is 457 less than last year, a decrease of 22.3-percent. Car sales in Columbia County were down 30-percent while truck sales dropped by 21-percent.

Jefferson County saw 1,596 vehicles roll off dealer lots this year, 559 less than last year this time for a drop of nearly 26-percent. Car sales in Jefferson County were down 21-percent while truck sales dipped 25-percent.

For the nine-county, south central Wisconsin region as a whole vehicle sales were down 20-percent with 27,095 sold. Car sales were also down 26-percent while truck sales dropped by 19-percent from last year.
