Regional Jobless Claims See Little Change In November

(Dodge County) Regional jobless claims saw little change in the eleventh month of the year.  

The state Department of Workforce Development says the unemployment rate in Dodge County was 2.3-percent in November, a one-tenth of a percent drop from October. Last year, the number was also 2.3-percent. Dodge County fell two spots in the statewide unemployment ranking to 16th.  

Columbia County jobless numbers went from 2.1-percent in October to 2.2-percent in November. A year ago, the figure was 2.2-percent.  

Jefferson County’s unemployment rate also saw a one-tenth of a percent drop from October to November, going to 2.3-percent. In 2023, the number was 2.3-percent.  

Fond du Lac County’s month-to-month change also fell a tenth of a percent to 2.4. Last year, the rate was 2.3-percent.  

Statewide, the unemployment rate was 2.9-percent.
