(Dodge County) Jobless claims in the region saw a slight increase in the month of February.
The state Department of Workforce Development says the unemployment rate in Dodge County was 3-percent in the second month of 2022, up two-tenths of a percent from January. Last year, the figure was 4.6-percent. Dodge County saw no movement in their statewide unemployment ranking, which was 16th.
Fond du Lac County saw their jobless numbers increase one-tenth of a percent from 2.7 in January to 2.8 in February. In 2021, the figure was 4.4-percent.
Columbia County also saw a small jump from the three-percent they logged in January to 3.2-percent in February. A year ago, the county reported a rate of 4.9-percent.
Jefferson County logged a 3.3-percent unemployment rate in February, after recording a 3-percent rate in January. Their numbers in 2021 were 4.7-percent.
Statewide jobless numbers were 2.9-percent in February.
