Reeseville Man Guilty Of Injuring Deputy

(Lowell) A Reeseville man charged with injuring a deputy was found guilty Tuesday. Craig Skalitzky entered a no contest plea to a felony count of Battery to Law Enforcement. A misdemeanor charge of Resisting was dismissed but read into the record. A sheriff’s deputy was dispatched for a well fair check to Skalitzky’s home in July. Skalitzky answered the door wielding a pitchfork. The 46-year-old, who had a warrant out for his arrest, shut the door on the deputy who kicked it open. The deputy was punched once in the chest and another time in the face. A Taser was deployed and Skalitzky was taken into custody. Skalitzky faces six years in prison. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for December 13.
