Best Lemonade Ever 

1 ¾ c. sugar

8 c. cold water

1 ½ c. freshly squeezed lemon juice (you’ll need 9-10 medium lemons)


In small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 c. water. Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled. Remove seeds from lemon juice but leave pulp. In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and pulp, and remaining 7 cups water. Serve over ice. Makes 10 servings- 2 ½ quarts.



Beer Brats 

4 (12 oz.) cans beer

1 large onion; diced

10 bratwurst links

2 tsp. red pepper flakes

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. salt

½ tsp. black pepper

Preheat an outdoor grill to MEDIUM-HIGH heat. (375°-450°). Lightly oil grate. Combine beer and onion in a large pot; bring to boil. Submerge brats in beer; add red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt & black pepper. Reduce heat to MEDIUM and cook 10-12 minutes. Remove brats from beer mixture; reduce heat to LOW and continue cooking onions while brats grill. Cook brats on grill, turning once, 5-10 minutes. Drain onions and serve as a topping or side dish.
