Randolph Girls Heading To State

The Randolph High School girls basketball team is heading to the WIAA Division Five State Basketball Tournament in Green Bay after a 43-31 win over Albany (22-5) in the Sectional Final at McFarland on Friday night.

The Rockets trailed Albany 18-15 at the half but exploded out of the gates in the 2nd half to outscored their opponent 28-13 in the 2nd half to earn a trip to state.

Jorey Buwalda led Randolph with 19 while Presley Buwalda added 16.

The Rockets (29-0)  will play in a Division Five State Semifinal on Friday morning at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

For the Rockets its their 2nd ever trip to the WIAA Girls State Basketball Tournament.  In 2001 Randolph dropped a Division Four Semifinal to Gilmanton 49-45.
