(Beaver Dam) The agencies that won the Dodge County Service Cup during the 2019 WBEV-WXRO Children’s Radiothon were recently presented with the trophy. The DCS Cup is given to the organizations that independently raises the most money for the Radiothon. This year’s winning agencies were Green Valley Enterprises and ARC Dodge County which brought in a combined $5562. Second place honors went to Clothes for Kids and Community Care Preschool and Childcare with $2857. The 27-hour marathon broadcast this past June brought-in a revised grand total of $129,149, which is around $1800 more than what was announced following the June 20th fundraiser. That brings the 22-year-total to $2-million-125-thousand-372-dollars. The Radiothon benefited 14 local charities that work with kids. The non-profits include PAVE, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Green Valley Enterprises, the YMCA of Dodge County, Clothes for Kids, the Watertown Family Center, ARC Dodge County, Community Care Preschool, the Dodge County Center for the Arts, Church Health Services, CARE for Dodge County and –new this year – Bo’s Heavenly Club House, the Pregnancy Support Center and the Gathering Source.
