Pursuit Suspect Accused Of Damaging Trooper Squad Car

6/28/17 – A 21-year-old Menominee Falls man was arrested yesterday for intentionally driving into a Wisconsin State Patrol squad car after a vehicle pursuit in Dodge County. The incident happened at 3:14pm yesterday when the trooper attempted a traffic stop on Highway 33 east of Horicon in the Town of Hubbard. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the suspect eventually stopped his car in the traffic lane on County Highway S near County Highway TW. He reportedly put the vehicle in reverse, crashed into the trooper’s squad car, exited and became aggressive.  Two citizen witnesses stopped to help the trooper until backup arrived.  The suspect was taken into custody by the State Patrol. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the traffic collision. The trooper received minor injuries, was evaluated at the scene by medical personnel, and was not transported for medical treatment.  The suspect received minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.   The citizens who stopped were not injured. There were no passengers in either vehicle.  Both vehicles received minor to moderate damage in the collision, and both were towed from the scene.
